Las Vegas on a card program: cheap five-stars, resort fees included
Las Vegas is the one American city where the card programs list four-star casino hotels alongside the Four Seasons, and it is the one where a resort fee can be a third of the room rate. Both facts make it a good test of what this site’s all-in prices are for. Here is the Strip, program by program, from the snapshot of August 28, 2026.
Who lists what
Chase’s Edit and Renowned list the same twelve Vegas hotels, ten of them MGM Resorts properties: MGM Grand, Park MGM and The Reserve at Park MGM, Mandalay Bay, Vdara, ARIA and ARIA Sky Suites, Cosmopolitan, Bellagio and SKYLOFTS, plus the Fontainebleau and the Four Seasons. That is Chase’s MGM relationship in one list.
Amex has 23, the widest set: the MGM hotels, then the Venetian and Palazzo, Wynn and Encore, the Waldorf Astoria, Crockfords and the Conrad at Resorts World, the W, the Nobu at Caesars, the Virgin, the JW Marriott off-Strip, and the Red Rock and Durango locals’ casinos. Citi’s Reserve has 13, adding Caesars Palace, the Delano and the NoMad to a core of MGM hotels. Bilt lists eight, the top of the market: Cosmopolitan, Fontainebleau, Bellagio, Wynn, Crockfords, Waldorf Astoria, SKYLOFTS and ARIA Sky Suites.
The Cosmopolitan and the Bellagio are in five programs each. The MGM Grand is in four. If you hold two of these cards there is almost always a second way into the same building.
What a night costs
The city medians were the lowest of any big city on every list: about $407 a night all-in on Citi, $424 on The Edit and Renowned, $425 on Amex, and $554 on Bilt, whose eight hotels are the expensive ones. Those numbers include Clark County’s 13.38% tax and each hotel’s resort fee, which on the Strip commonly runs $40 to $60 a night. The hotels’ own headline rates do not include either, which is why a Vegas room advertised at $129 is a $200 night.
Hotel by hotel, the medians over about a year of nights: MGM Grand about $256 all-in, Park MGM $268, Mandalay Bay $313, The Reserve at Park MGM $327, W Las Vegas $340, Vdara $367, Red Rock $372, Conrad $384, Caesars Palace $402, Nobu $412, Fontainebleau $424, ARIA $426, Cosmopolitan $429, Bellagio $465 to $482 depending on the list’s matching, JW Marriott $512, Venetian $532, Crockfords $554, Waldorf Astoria $617, Wynn and Encore $702, Four Seasons $709. SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand, which is suites only, was $974.
The same room, four prices
The MGM Grand’s cheapest stay in the snapshot was two nights from September 20 at about $304 all-in on The Edit, the Amex Hotel Collection and Citi’s Reserve tabs, and one night on the same date at about $152 on the Renowned tab. Same hotel, same room, same open-market estimate; the tabs differ only in the unit, because The Edit, THC and Citi’s credit all require two nights and Renowned doesn’t. That is the whole reason the site shows some programs per night and others as two-night totals.
What differs is what each card returns on that $304. A Sapphire Reserve gets $250 back on the first two Edit bookings of the year, so the stay is $54 plus breakfast for two and $100 to spend. A Strata Elite takes $300 off at booking, so the stay is $4 and the perks. A United Club card on Renowned gets the package and, once a year, $200 back. The Platinum on THC gets the $100 room credit and counts the booking toward its $600. None of these is the wrong answer, and at $304 the credits are bigger than the bill.
FHR versus the rest
On the Amex tab the FHR listings book from a single night, and that is where the cheapest single nights on the Strip were: the Fontainebleau at about $251 on November 22, the Cosmopolitan at $256 the same day, the Palazzo at $269 on September 1, the Bellagio at $277 on November 23, Wynn and Encore at $320 on August 30, Crockfords at $365, the Four Seasons at $408 on September 3, the Waldorf Astoria at $416. Every one of those comes with breakfast for two, a $100 credit and the 4pm checkout, which in a city where checkout is 11am and the flight is at 9pm is the perk I would pay for.
The Four Seasons is the cleanest comparison. One night on FHR at about $408; two nights on The Edit at about $816 for September 6. Identical per-night price, since the site holds one estimate per hotel. The FHR stay gets the 4pm checkout and books a single night; the Edit stay needs two and gets $250 back. On a one-night trip FHR wins by default. On two nights the Sapphire Reserve returns more cash and the Platinum returns the better checkout, and which matters more is your flight time.
When Vegas is cheap
The cheapest windows in the snapshot clustered on two dates. Late September, around the 20th, for the MGM Grand, Park MGM and Mandalay Bay. And the week of November 22, the run-up to Thanksgiving, for the Fontainebleau, Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, Vdara and The Reserve at Park MGM. ARIA’s cheapest two nights were the end of June 2027, which is the desert-summer discount. If your dates are flexible, the Sunday-to-Tuesday before Thanksgiving is the cheapest luxury weekend in the American calendar, and the calendars on this site show it as a green band on hotel after hotel.
Against that, the conference weeks and the fight weekends are High on every calendar, and they are High by a lot. Vegas prices have a wider spread around the median than any other city here, which is why the deal badge lights up on Strip hotels more often than on a Paris hotel that charges roughly the same every night.
About the numbers
Every figure is an all-in open-market estimate from the snapshot of August 28, 2026, with tax and resort fee added, and not the portal’s rate; the portals price the programs independently, and Vegas rates move daily. ARIA Sky Suites had no price on any list, which is normal for a suites-only product the search engine rarely sees. The Bellagio shows two medians because two lists carry it under slightly different listings and the matcher found slightly different windows for each, which is the kind of seam I would rather show than hide.
- Which Las Vegas hotels are in Chase’s Edit?
- Twelve in the late-August 2026 data, ten of them MGM Resorts properties (MGM Grand, Park MGM and its Reserve, Mandalay Bay, Vdara, ARIA and Sky Suites, Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, SKYLOFTS), plus the Fontainebleau and the Four Seasons. Renowned lists the same twelve.
- Do the prices include resort fees?
- Yes. Every price here is the room rate plus Clark County’s 13.38% tax plus the hotel’s resort fee, captured per hotel. The hotels’ own headline rates include neither.
- Why is the MGM Grand $152 on one tab and $304 on another?
- The unit. Renowned has no minimum stay, so it shows one night. The Edit, the Hotel Collection and Citi’s credit all need two nights, so those tabs show two-night totals. The per-night estimate is the same.
- When is Las Vegas cheapest?
- In the snapshot, the week before Thanksgiving and around September 20 for most Strip hotels, and late June for ARIA. Fight weekends and big conferences are the expensive end.
