The Reserve by Citi Travel, and the Strata Elite’s $300 credit
The Reserve is Citi Travel’s curated luxury shelf — the newest of the issuer programs and still the smallest list. It’s visible to holders of the Citi Strata Elite, the Strata Premier, and the legacy Prestige, and it books through Citi Travel the way The Edit books through Chase.
The package
Reserve stays carry the standard curated-program set: daily breakfast for two, a $100 experience credit that varies by property, free Wi-Fi, and a room upgrade with early check-in and late checkout when available.
The $300 credit
The reason to care sits on the Strata Elite: a $300 hotel credit each calendar year for prepaid Citi Travel stays of two nights or more. It’s applied at booking — the price drops before you pay, no waiting on a statement credit — and it splits across bookings: a $200 stay leaves $100 for the next one. The year is keyed to when you book, not when you stay. The Strata Elite also earns 12X points on hotels paid through Citi Travel.
The two-night condition is why Reserve prices on this site are shown as two-night totals, same as The Edit: a one-night headline would show you stays that could never trigger the credit.

- No — it’s applied when you book, reducing what you pay up front, and it can be split across multiple bookings in the same year.
- How big is the list?
- Smaller than FHR or The Edit, and Citi has said it will grow. If a city shows nothing on our Reserve tab, that’s usually the list, not a filter.
